He has been part of the Orchard Growth Partners team, providing part time and interim finance director services, for four years. During this time he has worked with a number of organisations, including owner managed entrepreneurial businesses, private equity groups and multinational subsidiaries. Projects that he has worked on have included fund raising, strategic planning, reporting and systems development, profit and cash flow analysis, M&A, business risk management and compliance programmes. Prior to joining the Orchard team he spent a brief sabbatical working in the education and not for profit sectors.
He started his working life in the construction industry, developing financial management systems for site and regional based UK and international businesses. During this time he used his German language skills to set up the finance and administration functions for a newly established German subsidiary. He then moved on to a senior management role within the European subsidiary of a major Japanese conglomerate, where he dealt with a number of European acquisitions and disposals as well as working with fast growing SME subsidiaries, combining high level strategic input with hands on practical financial management.
His “spare time” activities include family life, sport, music, history, charity work and amateur dramatics. He will be seen on stage this Christmas as an ugly sister in Cinderella. Photos will not be encouraged….
